Lopar lies in the far north of the island of Rab – exactly where the island “dips” sharply into the Kvarner Bay – and is known for its ring of 22 natural sandy beaches, among which the 1.5km long Paradise Beach with the Blue Flag is the most prominent.

You can reach Lopar by ferry from Valbiska (Krk) to Lopar or by road from the ferry port of Mišnjak, which is only a 15-minute boat ride from the mainland port of Stinica; from Mišnjak to Lopar there is an island highway about 20km long.

On the south side of the island you will find the town of Rab, a picturesque medieval core “with four bell towers” ​​which, thanks to its Romanesque campanile, is often compared to a sailing ship with taut masts.It is only a twenty-minute drive from Lopar, so guests can enjoy both the golden sands of the north of the island and the cobblestone streets of its historic center on the same day.
